The Shag Evans Key Books contain manual transpositions of a specific arrangement. Each transposition is organic, meaning checked and tweaked for appropriate part ranges and octave placements (instead of just pushing a "transpose button" and letting the sheet music software mindlessly move all the parts in unison up or down to each new Happy Birthday song key -- which usually ends up making the arrangement sound odd/weird).
The A201 is the basic sheet music arrangement: Piano & Vocal plus accurate guitar chord diagrams.
The lead vocal has an optional octave jump on the second verse and a separate staff showing a very simple background vocal part.
The piano part ended up being in the Vince Guaraldi style (Snoopy/Charlie/Lucy)! I didn't plan it that way -- I'm a guitar player.
You can play the piano part solo or add however many additional vocal line melody notes you think sounds good. Lots of jazz chords here: let's call it a medium difficulty piece.
As a songwriter I ended up happy with the lyrics on this tune. I think they strike the right balance for a happy birthday song. There is a small metaphysical exploration of the question: What exactly is the nature of this birthday tradition thing?

The volume dynamics markings, "pedal", "swing" and "straight" notations are all present in the sheet music to force the computer software to output the audio of the tracks with the most natural feel possible. Btw the "swing" setting (moving the eighth notes behind the beat) is adjustable from 51-99% and usually it works best around 60%.
As far as usable tempo range: As a rule the Shag Evans Sing-A-Long soundtrack demos are recorded at a fast clip (just beneath where the music sounds rushed) and that is the marking that goes on the published sheet music. But playing at faster or slower tempos is always an option -- including even much slower depending on the song. Adjust according to taste.
